Sin

Just finished reading the introduction to a new book, Sinning Like A Christian (looks good), by William Willimon. I came across an anecdote that he shares about Chesterton that points the finger right where it needs to be:

G.K. Chesterton was asked by a British newspaper to contribute an essay on the subject "What Is Wrong with the World?" Chesterton sent back a two-sentence essay: What is wrong with the world? Me.

Willimon makes the point that we like to look to institutions and events as evil, as sinful, when really we need to be "holding a mirror up to ourselves." I couldn't agree more.
